Marvel's Mysterio card says that player will suffer the effects of the top 2 traps in the discard pile. Can spider friends affiliation card be used to attempt to avoid these traps? My son argues that it can not as Mysterio card only says "the effects" of the traps and spider friends affiliation is for actual traps... not the effects. Please help.
