That probably won't much affect the ability to cut it, but heat treating it to get it back to its original hardness may not be practical at all, as part of what is proprietary
is the way they do treatment.
On the other hand, this may not be needed. Just buy the large pieces in the desired shape (a commercial armor plate may do the job) and link custom parts on for the areas not normally covered.
