However it kills the newer or less frequent writers and I have seen a couple post they were waiting.

This is the boat I'm in. I'm working on an article detailing some elemental super-powers, but other than that I'm basically writing blind, not knowing what they're looking for. (I don't touch DF as a rule, given that I actively avoid dungeon crawls, in
any system, so any DF-oriented issue is not for me...)
