Yeah -- your tale is not the only example of that thing's faults.
What's scary is: The Wagon version I have is maybe 1/2 the cost of the Van; yet has roughly the same firepower and armor, HC 3, *and* unloaded can make Acc. 10.
The cycle only carries one casualty; but still has a MG and SS, plus the full complement of Medical Equipment.
