Moop's Monster Mashup shuffles right into any existing Munchkin game. The backs even match the classic Munchkin game (and Legends, Oz, Conan, and a few others).
The Munchkin line is deep, and that depth of choice makes existing Munchkin fans happy since they understand how to layer sets to customize the game to fit personal tastes. That depth can be scary, though, when someone is new to the game.
Moop's Monster Mashup stands alone and separate and offers a new starting point for the Munchkin series. Identifying this as a separate game helps encourage new players to give the game a try.
