Platform boots regularly add more than that, so it's not beyond the realms of feasibility to add quite a bit more material between the ground and your foot without resorting to power bockers.

And a helmet described as a turret certainly sounds silly, but it's useful. You'll need at least as much armor on your head as you do on the rest of your body, and with all that armor, you're going to want to house alot of your electronics and sensors. Quite a bit of that can fit in the body (the computer, the radar), but you're still going to want the night vision and the AR screen all on the head. Finally, you need to move all this around just as much as you need to move around the rest of your body, so your helmet will have a slathering of whatever it is that helps augment your movement. Alot of it will be in the neck, but I don't doubt there will be mooring points on the top of your head.

All of this will expand the size of the "head," and some of that will be expanded "up," adding inches.

So easily more than two inches down bottom, and a not inconsequential amount up top (and quite a bit out on the sides, but that's not for our discussion of height)
