Roughly, G:SS rates it as 5G with 4.9 ~ 5 mps.

No. Less fuel gives less delta-v, while larger drive gives higher thrust. With larger drive you just get faster to your top speed (ie. run out of fuel) but its the fuel tank (ie. delta-v) which actually determines just how fast the ship is able to go.
