Rabbits produce the pellets that need to be "re-eaten" at about the same time every day. It is not precise, but relatively so. What I was suggesting was, that because of this regularity, you could put a pellet catcher on during the time they normally produce good pellets, and take it off during the times they normally produce actual poop. This would allow you to store the pellets they need to eat without them getting mixed in with poop that they shouldn't eat. For this purpose the rabbit doesn't have to drop pellets at precisely the same time everyday, just something general, like "morning", which is what rabbits do.
