If you REALLY don't want to give away GUALs for charity, you can always play them on another player instead. Why in the world would you want to do this? To avoid charity and place the power of choosing who gets the level into your own hands. Perhaps you could bribe someone with it.
Just be sure that your target can have that card played on them legally.
