Well for the most part those effects are all very closely tied together. Part of the reason you fall down when someone hits you in the face is the pain involved. If you can resist shock you should be able to stand up things that require a knockdown roll.
The "make a roll to avoid pain" could be separated out, I gave one possible example of that. But most of the ways you would end up with tolerance to pain outside of combat result in you being a pretty tough person in a fight too.
