That isn't really an option, as we're relying on ordinary, low-cost webcams for home users, not fancy videoconferencing gear. For instance, my camera doesn't
have adjustable focus, or even a way to fake it via its bundled software. It has a fixed point of focus vaguely near where a person is likely to be sitting, but it's blurry in one way or another no matter where I sit. The solution would be a more expensive camera, but as I've used mine maybe three times ever, that doesn't seem worthwhile in this case. Sorry!
