Flying fish is a category unto itself, I would say. Floating jellies would be nasty, And flying squid is ... pretty much already on the books. Eels can be nasty as well.
If you're also a video gamer, theres a game called Impossible Creatures, an Old Early 2000's RTS Strategy Game on steam for something like $10. It allowed you to Kitbash Critter DNA in pretty fun ways, that would prolly generate a few neato monsters. It was an early 2K game though so I think you could only mix 2 critters at a time and couldnt mix Chimeras With Chimeras.
