That'd be the world of the Sky Alchemists of the Hanging City of Ton. Ton is a rough, chaotic assembly of interlinked and overlapping platforms, blackened by centuries of corrosive effluent, all suspended by massive chains of verdigris-covered bronze anchored in a vast ceiling of blasted rock.
Some platforms support the city's infamous alchemical foundries, essence smelters and vitriol mills, while others are cages for containing test subjects collected from across the Polycosm.
With few natural resources of their own, other than dust, vapours, wind and smoke, the Sky Alchemists are very much a knowledge economy. Their agents may often be seen abroad and are recognisable by their wondrous Worldsuits, made to protect against the rigours and risks of polycosmic travel from fantastical gems, alloys and resins.
