Re: Cheat! card and Hirelings
The Munchkin 4 rules (and other sets that have the special "Hireling" rules) give the Cheat! card the added ability of allowing you to use it to have an extra Hireling. It doesn't matter if a Hireling is an Item or not for you to be able to use a Cheat! card on it.
