You could use ALOT of genre additions as noted above, and you could stand to be more clear with the meaning of Motif. Do you mean Theme or Trope?
Your historical periods question doesnt actually go far enough AHEAD nor does it correlate well to sci-fi games.
But I answered as best I can given the options available.

p.s. I recognize that a RPG survey that spans the breadth and Depth of RPG gaming and THEN having the nerve to post that on a GURPS board gets you high marks for bravery.
