The difficulty will lie in making something new, but not adding too much useless complexity. A hallmark of Ogre is the overall simplicity, so I'd hate to see it turn into Battletech or ASL somehow.

New scenarios keyed to a new map release, with a minimal set of scenario specific counters could be quite good though.
