Eh, the original
Kadavergehorsamer in the campaign where they first appeared were not scintillating conversationalists, but the more advanced versions of the Spawn of the Cold Ones have managed just fine with sepulchral voices that have no interaction with mundane lungs (Disturbing Voice), so if it's really important, no lungs need not be a barrier to speech.
That being said, anyone who really needs to speak is probably working in a more highly skilled field than the typical un-living slave and would get cloth masks.
