Munchkin Cthulhu - The Only Non-Cultist Rule Confusion
Hello to all,
I am a newcomer to the forum. I've bought Cthulhu recently but realized a confusion about a rule for Cultists.
In the "More Scary Cultist Rules" part of the rulebook it says:
"If all the players become Cultists but one, the non-Cultist player
gets a level, and this can be the winning level."
However;
In "Conflicts Between Cards and Rules" part of the rulebook, it says:
"You must kill a monster to reach Level 10 and you cannot
force another player to help you do it."
and again
In "Starting and Finishing the Game" part, it says:
"The first player to reach Level 10 wins . . .
but you must reach Level 10 by killing a
monster, unless a card specifically allows
you to win another way"
So my questions are:
1. When the all players become cultists except one, will that non-cultist player be able to win the game no matter what level he/she has (e.g. when he/she is Level 6)
or
2. When the all players become cultists except one, if that only non-cultist player is Level 9 at that moment, will he/she be able to reach Level 10 and win the game without killing a monster?
or
3. "If all the players become Cultists but one, the non-Cultist player
gets a level, and this can be the winning level."
----> From this sentence, should we understand that the only non-cultist player can increase his/her Level 9 from Level 8 when he gets a free level because all the other players become Cultists and that non-cultist player can reach to Level 10 by killing a monster and that can be the winning level?
I am so confused about that non-cultist rule and a lot of my friends too! I hope I can get the clear answer for that matter.
Wish you amazing game moments!
