By tradition a reigning Emperor cannot be a member of any religious(or antireligious for that matter) group as he is the Emperor of all Imperial Citizens. However Emperors are also Sophants and still have spiritual needs. As a result, when an emperor attends a religious service as a member he uses one of his subsidiary titles.
There is no rule about which religion, or lack thereof, an Emperor will take part in in his subsidiary title. There have been Christian Emperors, Maarist Emperors, One PanSoph-Fteirle(more about that later) ones, a few Sikhs, several Agnostics or Atheists, and whatever a given Emperor's personal beliefs(or political manipulations of course) drive him to. Ancient Vilani beliefs and NeoStoicism, are the most common though.
