If you have the newer plastic ones, test your paint on a mini you have several of or don't really care about. Some spray paints react poorly with the plastic and create a near permanent sticky surface. Even if someone says Brand X works great, best to do a test. Spray paint formulas change due to changing regulations or attempts to cut costs or even to try to make a better paint.

Or test your paints on a piece of sprue, it's the same plastic.
