Gaming Ballistic
I started the blog the day after Christmas in 2012, and since then, I have perhaps made 150 posts. About 80-85 of them are GURPS-related in some way.
Another 30 or so have to do with Pathfinder.
The rest is a bit of a hodge-podge.
The top 10 most read articles to date have been:
- Apropos of Nothing: Independence Day (movie) and RPG Inspiration
- GURPS Campaigns: Common Pitfalls
- Skill Levels for Melee Combat in GURPS
- Skill Levels for Ranged Combat in GURPS
- Pathfinder Readthrough - Chapter 7: Additional Rules
- Melee Academy: High skill vs. armor and shield
- The Price of Fitness
- Shrug It Off
- A Sandbox is Born over at RPG Snob
- Making grapples suck less in armed combat
Finally, every month, Peter Dell'Orto, Jason Packer, and occasionally Mark Langsdorf and Christian Blouin (and coming this month, Christopher Rice) collaborate on a feature that we call Melee Academy, a bit of "combat how-to" for GURPS.
You can find the
Melee Academy collection here.
Editing for my official format:
Gaming Ballistic (by
DouglasCole): The blog has been running since December of 2012, and has about 50-60%
GURPS content, a lot of it serious
crunch. Common themes are wounding, damage, and fight pacing. I also host a monthly 'how to fight in GURPS' article collection called
Melee Academy. I will occasionally write about Pathfinder (I'm doing a
Core Rulebook read-through for novices like myself), as well as general inspiration from entertainment.
