Well, I must confess that I don't understand the phrase "there's only so much one can do with [insert appropriate thing here]" exactly. Does it mean that the (game-)options presented by major Superiors are fewer than those given by the minor ones?
If you do mean this, why do you think so? (As it is obvious, I'm contrary to this view.)
