I'll have to remember the encyclopedia researcher. That's a good one. I'd also put in a nod for, "traveling salesman" if such a thing exists in the world. Gypsies can also be good, although traveling people tend to be looked upon with suspicion by more settled folks. A religious pilgrimage is also a good choice.
