Unexpectedly, I feel vindicated. In the sense that lately I've been feeling like I have been deprived of a word which I can use to concisely and
mostly unambiguously refer to this basket of topics, because more and more people started telling me that even jocky and snobby stuff can be covered by the words 'geeky' and 'nerdy'. So personally I'm finding this reining in of the scope of the term heartwarming.
