"Geeky" meaning fantasy/SF, gaming, computers, comics -- you know, nerd stuff. Saying "people can be geeky" about anything renders the entire term meaningless. The fact that Geek Culture was moving in that direction is one of the reasons we put it into time out. (Another was to clear out some older threads that were no longer relevant -- or were never relevant, in too many cases.)

There are LOTS of forums online where sports junkies and gun enthusiasts and knitting freaks can discuss those passions with other like-minded people and probably have more run doing it.
