Re: [Instant Armor] Japanese Helmets
Bump.
The kabuto is constructed in Low-Tech Instant Armor as a pot helm with additional protection for the front of the face and back of the neck.
My understanding heretofore was that the back of the head is a separate hit location between the skull and the back of the neck, location 5 when attacked from the rear. The cost and weight of helmets in Low-Tech seem to bear this out, whereas the kabuto seems to leave the back of the head unprotected, a gap between the helm and the neckguard that hangs from it. Is this an erratum for LTIA, or confusion on my part?
