OK -- broke out the old tape-measure, and measured the interior of the PB. It's 7" x 4"-and-a-bit x 1"-and-a-bit. That could fit not a few of my 1/200-scale minis.

Is anyone still making those foam inserts which are cut into 1/4" squares so one can make spaces which are just big enough for minis to fit? Websearch is failing me.
