...which, in my book, is just a different form of removal. My point is simply that, for instance, Munchkin 4 builds on the cards present in Munchkin 1-3, meaning that if you use only Munchkin 1 and 4 in your deck, you have to work around the absence of 2 and 3. On the other hand, if you use 1 and 2 as your deck, no such hacking is required. You can then add 3, 4, and 5 as you get them, and you don't have to worry about unbalancing anything as long as you add in sequence.
Me, I'm grumbling a little bit because I'm going to have to put my Classic Munchkin deck in a new box when I add Munchkin 5. The 400-count white box I'm using now is just big enough for 1-4 plus promos. Maybe that shop still has some 550-count boxes on hand....
