Maybe so, but (a) on Yrth, being an Archbishop is an
intensely political position, and (b) they will likely have studied theology and its complexities very intensely before getting to that position.
While most Archbishops are likely still believers, the worldly burdens of this office make it very hard to maintain the "Simple Faith" these abilities require.
