It initially gave me pause as well, but the game already has the Mighty Spell perk which can already add +1 per die for one additional FP at a cp cost of only [1], and that hasn’t broken anything.
Keep in mind, as the advantage is written, a character needs 8 points in the spell on top of what he spent on Battle Spell Master to get +1 and 12 points to qualify for the +2.
