No. First off, flipping the link wouldn't change it to a regular door -- it would be a passageway. Secondly, just because
you were able to pick the lock or figure out where the door is doesn't mean the next munchkin will.

Yes. Any room next to your room that isn't separated by a wall is an adjacent room. You can run away to any adjacent room. So by definition, you can run away through locked and hidden doors. Fear is a great motivator.
