To get to the elven palace, the PCs need to have an acorn from the elves, the ones they were wearing around their necks on necklaces. The PCs will also have to walk through the two ancient oaks in a north to south direction with the acorns. When the PCs do this, they will open an extra-dimensional space. This space has a large white marble palace with golden-silver faerie metal doors and roofs. It is beautiful and elegant beyond description as the sunlight makes to roof and door glitter and sparkle wildly. There are many brightly colored birds flying about and squirrels and chipmunks go about their business. There seems to be a heavy thicket of trees surrounding the palace. Any who cross this thicket will end up back in the normal forest and need to cross the two oaks with an acorn to gain entry again.

The place seems deserted, but in fact there are many elves waiting in ambush. They have decided that since the party has defeated the other elven forces, their only chance is to make a last stand at the castle. The elves are camouflaged (skill 20 in this area) and are waiting to attack with their long bows. They have the same stats as the other elven warriors. There are two elves per PC.

There are also two wizards and druids.

Notes: This griffin is very loyal to Gavaran and will defend him until the death. He will never let any other person ride him without Gavaran's consent.

This battle will take some time but Roderick and the scouts will appear and will assist the PCs. Roderick will try to hit Gavaran with his magical arrows if the opportunity presents itself. The arrows will quickly kill any who are struck with them and will bestow a terrible curse. If Gavaran is struck he will die in agony and then disintigrate as he is composed of mana not normal matter like the elves.
