Which is what's going to happen. ;-)
As soon as you become a Race/Class/Loyalty, you immediately get all of its abilities, advantages and disadvantages (according to the rules). If you turn over a Feline when kicking down the door and become a Feline before doing anything else, I see nothing wrong with then using curiosity.
At least, that's the official take on things. We all know that house rules trump even me and the MPTB. . . :-)
