I never got that out of it.
4e is more a construction set than
3e was. There were too many things in
3e that I couldn't emulate with the character generation rules and were in their own
GURPS books (Barbies and Blood Rifles from
Warehouse 23 come directly to mind). Now, in
4e I can reproduce them easily.
3e was more like an erector set where you could build a framework and then you spent a lot of time having to fill in the blanks with GM fiat.
4e is much more "complete" where anything that can be done, I can reproduce. Most of the time, it simply isn't relevant unless I want it for a character.
