I bought Melee a month after it came out. Thereafter, I bought all of the TFT releases. With great glee, I bought Man-to-Man, then OrcSlayer. GURPS 1st had some problems, most not fixed with 2ed. Third edition came out and was from my point of view perfect (I don't play supers).

I'm writing all of this so you know I have a great deal of experience. Probably 40+ games a year, every year, for the past 26 years.

4th Edition has crossed some sort of invisible line for me: The intellectual buy-in too high, the requirement to build everything yourself too demanding, the learning curve for new players too great.

I've had to come here multiple times for help on basic systems. Dr. Kromm has patiently answered all of my questions (as have many others). But,"I are smart and edumacated" so I shouldn't be having trouble with this edition when I had zero problems understanding the previous three.

I think it's time for me to take a break for a while.
