59) GURPS Template Toolkit 3: Starship Crew and How to Be a GURPS GM: Ritual Path Magic

Deep in the heart of a starship lives its engine. Not a spinning greased assemblage of metal and fluid, nor a crackling bundle of electricity and plasma. The engine of a starship is the mage who pulls it beyond the void, and who directs it within the beyond. They do so within an arcane sanctuary of esoteric runes and hand-mixed alloys aligned in protective hoops.

Outside of this sanctuary, a more mundane crew anticipates their destination. The beyond generally delivers crews to where they desire. but magic can twist desire in strange ways. When exiting the beyond, one should always be careful. The beyond seems to have a sense of humor...

Combination 59b: Warhammer 40k

Its not an exact match, but its a fairly close one, and it features the core idea above quite heavily.
