"[D]isregard any Trap or Curse" seems pretty clear to me. . . And, I said SJ and I take the view that a curse that affects the entire party is to be considered as played on you, so that's an official ruling, I'd say.
So, in this case you roll. On a 5 or 6, you don't have to suffer the effects of a party-wide curse.
