Terry "Bulk" Grogan

Terry ("Bulk" as he's known to... well, just about everyone except his mum) is a fairly simple sort of person: cheerful, friendly, always happy to believe what he's told, and capable of twisting an orc's head off its shoulders with a couple of good yanks. His mum (a tough old ex-adventurer who runs an inn back home) generally approves of her son's ability to turn monsters into pretzels, and encouraged him to take up a life of adventuring partly in the hope that he'll lose some of his baby fat and toughen up a little.
Terry's hearing impairment makes him loud, frequently asking people to repeat themselves with a "WHAT?". His cheerful good nature is easily taken advantage of - he'll believe most anything anyone tells him, likes cats, and approaches everyone he meets as basically friendly until they prove otherwise, especially if they're offering a good meal.
Of course, when they prove to be unfriendly he wraps them in a full nelson and shakes until they stop moving. It's what mum would do.
Bulk fights barehanded, though he carries a length of wood for rapping things over the head if they prove too frisky to wrestle into submission. The heavy furs he wears as armor also serve as clothes, but he keeps a spare set of clean clothes in his backpack because mum told him to always make sure he had good clothes in case he met a king or something.

Construction Notes: Terry is built with the Wrestler template from Pyramid 3/111, and takes great advantage of the ability to pick your own disadvantages off-template. He's not
particularly optimized (true min-maxers know that it's better to have higher defenses than to just soak things with hit points), but the high HP and Very Rapid Healing serve to mitigate that flaw. Short-term goals for this character would be High Pain Threshold and Combat Reflexes, with 'More ST' and 'More Basic Speed and/or Basic Move' being good choices as well and Unfazeable fitting the character neatly.
