If you are wielding the SOSEES when Squidzilla (or some other squid monster) shows up, you must flee. Immediately. The ONLY way around the problem would be to use Annihilation or a similar card to cancel the Squid's appearance in the first place.
Remember that Munchkin is not a "stack" game -- you can't say "Well, I'd have to run if the situation didn't change, but I have this way to change it so I can stick around and fight." No. The situation says you have to Run Away immediately. That's what you have to do.
