Re: [DF] Tempered Glass Armor and Tempered Glass Shields

It's also resistant to acid and electricity. And yes, a full face helm could (maybe) be made to do away with eye slits*...

* The Glass Armor of the original Morrowind had covered eyes, but the...

Re: [Basic] Disadvantage of the Week: Code of Honor

Also I'm personally okay with a bit of double dipping.

Look at Gregarious and Autophobia. Would you disallow a PC from taking both even though it's a clear case of double dipping?

(just using...

Re: Bigger and Smaller Weapons

You've missed GURPS 4th Dungeon Fantasy Denizens Barbarians (http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/books/dungeonfantasy/barbarians/), which covers weapons sized up to SM+1, SM+2, SM+3 and (with extrapolation)...

Re: Campaign: Facets

I'm still meaning to get back and respond to your last large post. There's just a lot to unpack and I've been tired.

Re: [Spells] Why is Command a blocking spell, and how does it work?

Or head, or off arm, etc.

Now a proper polearm? That's a lot more difficult.

Re: [Basic] Disadvantage of the Week: Code of Honor

There is also a this issue of deference to men in authority which is not just due to her status in comparison to them but what is considered proper by the code of her society.

And she can't handle...

Re: [Spells] Why is Command a blocking spell, and how does it work?

Bull! They've just been cowed into not posting. I bet if we could wrangle the story out of them it would be mooooo-ving.

Re: Off-hand weapon penalty

-4 feels right to me.

I don't shoot guns, but I do archery and throw darts. -4 feels almost right to me. With archery it's a bit worse as my left arm is weaker meaning the bow wobbles a bit...

Re: [DF] Why don't sea elves have Speak Underwater?

I think you mean: "Yes all proper dwarves refuse to go above ground. It's only those crazy agoraphiles that that do so!"

I'm not sure what metropolises you're familiar with Kromm.... but I...

Re: Fit and Recover Energy

The rule probably exists as it's one of the very few ways to slow mages down.

Re: Fit and Recover Energy

Not really.

Unless you allow Very Fit to affect supernatural FP expenditures, which I don't.

Re: Fit and Recover Energy

I ignore it as well... particularly as Recover Energy has no such restrictions.

Re: The Future of the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game?

I'd like to see the old Classic Cardboard Heroes style, the foldable ones.

AS for DFRPG, I wouldn't mind seeing it continue as pdfs, but if I have to make a choice between DF and DFRPG getting...

Re: Combat Reflexes without defense bonus

+1 per 2 points was not what you had in your post...

That pretty accurately represents how some of my ex-soldier buddies operated for a long while after coming back from war.

Sudden...

Re: Combat Reflexes without defense bonus

I think you're forgetting that it's Skill/2 to get defenses so it would be 2 levels of your 3/lvl Advantages... for 6 per +1 to defense... making 5 per +1 less expensive.

Re: Dungeon Fantasy RPG All-Out Attack (Double) Question

Only because mlangsdorf and I were having a difference of opinion as to whether it should be allowed for non-ST, non-Basic Move related tasks.

But "roll Will and add 5%xMoS to [stat] for 1 FP" is...

Re: Combat Reflexes without defense bonus

It isn't the only choice.

I routinely make combatants that don't have Combat Reflexes, because something else is core to the concept and the points just aren't lying about and available.

Now...

Re: Dungeon Fantasy RPG All-Out Attack (Double) Question

I don't. However one is "RAW DFRPG"* and one isn't.

One is "working within the framework of the box set"* and one is "adding things from outside the box set".

Also one is "interesting mental...

Re: Dungeon Fantasy RPG All-Out Attack (Double) Question

I wouldn't call that blurb "definitional". Especially after it points out that "many tasks are more specific". It's setting a 'baseline" from one is expected to derive additional specificity.

Re: [Basic] Advantage of the Week (#52): Extra Attack

I believe it's a "Batman" level Supers game.

Chase Taylor is clearly a superior athlete, super soldier, and The Sentinel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sentinel_(TV_series)) all wrapped up in...

Re: Please explain Imbuements to me?

"speed attained"

So... speed attained is now a provision of ST is it? ;)

Now you can try to argue that this is specifically to cover "running faster" (which is legit straight from Basic),...

Re: How much does Xenophilia overrides self-preservation instincts?

At the moment it's a "Non-Cinematic" game... however it's expected for weirdness to show up at some point (it's billed as 'kinda like Stargate').

So I expect at some point my Daniel Jackson...
