Re: World Building - Very Shallow Sea?

Oh okay. I was suspecting you had envisioned some kind of dramatic, epic battle that required the terrain or adaptive machines to evoke a theme, and then you had to justify the world building. Fair...

Re: Hall of Judgment for the DFRPG: Now LIVE!

Thanks for helping to educate us on the business. It's a great reference.

Re: One-shot adventure: A Plague Under All of Your Houses

Thanks Dalin, that's good to hear. That is my tendency also, but I find a lot of feedback on the forums by some who almost mock that style.

Granted, you have to get to the table at some point,...

Re: To be readied or not to be, that is the question...

Oh yes, great point. I started to lose track too. There's no readiness issue with the dueling glaive when used with both hands.

Re: To be readied or not to be, that is the question...

I see your dilemma.

My preference is to err on the side of less hyper-activity within the one-second turn.

But in agreeing with Anthony, I think the rules could and should be interpreted to...

Re: World Building - Very Shallow Sea?

I'm curious about the motive or purpose you have envisioned to require such a shallow sea?

Re: September 15, 2018: Illuminated Site of the Week: You Spin Me Wrong 'Round, Baby,

If I'm really lucky, that just may be enough to shift me into the hex where the exposed flesh burns drop to second degree.

Re: CW as a roleplaying game?

I didn't really get into the RPG aspects of Car Wars when I played it in the '80s. I met a guy at a game store who claimed to have a regular campaign with the "party" as freelance couriers. The...

Re: One-shot adventure: A Plague Under All of Your Houses

Well, I finally got around to coming back to this adventure post and reading it all.

I enjoy getting insights into how others create and structure their adventures.

Part 4: Bugs and Tight...

Re: September 15, 2018: Illuminated Site of the Week: You Spin Me Wrong 'Round, Baby,

Just in case, I would make sure everyone in the U.S. marches due East at the exact same time the thousand rockets are ignited.

Re: Backerkit Question

Thank you guys for the quick feedback. Time to finalize my Backerkit.

I know I shouldn't complain because the wise Masters must extract the stealth funds from all our societal processes to...

Re: Backerkit Question

In trying to complete my backerkit survey, I was surprised to find that my Legacy Box shipping total seemed to be:
$23.00 (on a $60.00 product pledge).

I live in Texas.

Can somebody confirm...

Re: Hall of Judgment for the DFRPG: Now LIVE!

I got more into reading some of the book last night than just reviewing it. It's pretty easy and fun to read, so I give it my vote for being user-friendly.

I think I got hooked reading the random...

Re: Hall of Judgment for the DFRPG: Now LIVE!

I received my Hall of Judgement book today (Mon. 9/10).

My wife brought in a package around lunch time. Of course I had wishful thoughts but dismissed such a quick arrival. I thought it was...

Re: Triplanetary: asymmetry bug wrt Attack/Counterattack 'D' effects

I think it can make sense. I guess the issue is trying to accommodate two levels of abstraction at the same time. A turn based one mixed with a phase based one. The turns representing a full day...

Re: Triplanetary: asymmetry bug wrt Attack/Counterattack 'D' effects

This is an interesting dilemma that is worthy of discussion.

While I haven't played more than a training game of the new Triplanetary, I wanted to get some feedback on a potential solution that...

Re: Official Rules Update and FAQ (Draft versions 1.01 - June 21)

That is the miniatures version of the SHVY after conversion to inches . . .

Sorry for being a wise *ss. That looks like a good observation.

Re: Serrated Sword

The Dungeon Fantasy RPG may already have something.

Hobgoblins and Orcs (grouped with Goblin-Kin) wield "saw-toothed falchions that leave nasty wounds."

Their damage is appended with "+...

Re: Official Rules Update and FAQ (Draft versions 1.01 - June 21)

More and more, it does appear that the intent is that being disabled by terrain does make a unit vulnerable to a 'D' combat result. (I checked the Ogre Miniature rules for comparison, and while not...

Re: Miniatures Set 2 Assembly Notes

Good to know.

A few weeks ago, I almost had a chance to get inside of a Sturmgeschutz at a special event at a nearby museum.

However, all my time was spent in line to get inside of a Sherman. ...

Re: Miniatures Set 2 Assembly Notes

I decided to check the Designer Edition counter art.

As you indicate for the metal minis, each main gun shows a coaxial, small gun to the right (starboard) side.

The cool Brandon Moore cover...

Hey, thanks for the reply.

From my reading, I thought the rules could be a little ambiguous.

Referring to the latest Ogre Battle Box Web Rules...

Re: Official Rules Update and FAQ (Draft versions 1.01 - June 21)

(There's nothing like receiving a new supplement, Ogre Mini Set 2, to get you back into a shelved game.)

Rules Question:

Is a unit that is disabled due to terrain destroyed when it receives its...
