Re: How To Be A GURPS GM Print-on-demand

My print copy arrived last night, and Iíve had a chance to read a good portion of it. Great book - I wish this had been out with GURPS 1e ;) ... Iíve plenty of GM and a GURPS specific experience, and...

Re: DFRPG for kids

It might be useful to make some photocopies of the various back cover reference sheets (for personal use at the table only). I can see kids referencing those a lot, and tucking a few extra copies...

Re: How to Be a GURPS GM available in print

Awesome! I've been looking forward to buying a copy in print since seeing one in Bat in the Attic's Dungeon Fantasy unboxing blog post.

Re: First Impressions

I was rereading Exploits last night. A little bedtime / stress relief reading.

I do find Dungeon Fantasy to be a really good, fun read, from first impression through current. I hope it does well...

Re: Other tactile game bits for DFRPG

Not really needed, but I wouldn't mind some cards summarizing spells. There's not a ton of text to the spells, but some players find using cards a lot easier than lookups in a book or table.

I'm a...

Re: Daydreams of a Dragon - Dungeon Fantasy Content Post

That's cool. That name of "Hot Newt" is a crack-up; I could see using this in play without hesitation (name included). Thanks for sharing!

Re: First Impressions

It's a really fun looking / feeling box and set, from a 1st impression standpoint. The cover really sells the set for me.

I also get a very old school SJG and even sort of a Fantasy Trip done...

Re: Dungeon Fantasy in Stores!

Cool! I was running a (non DF) game there last night, and they were down to the one remaining box and screen.

Sounds like there might be possible interest in running at least a demo game of...

Re: Dungeon Fantasy in Stores!

Yup. That's one of two new releases shelves - "indie" and such. Another two facing opposite are Pathfinder / Starfinder and SW; then another two of maps and D&D stuffs. They also had a few used /...

Re: It would be nice to have some AD&D style demons and devils

I think that's taking it way out of proportion. One feeling there's no distinction between fallen angels and demons in a setting doesn't mean that there's no distinction between undead and demons,...

Re: It would be nice to have some AD&D style demons and devils

I seem to recall Ars Magica having a distinction between "hell bent" and "heaven sent" as far as demons. I think creating those distinctions can be fun for a given GM or setting ... is "demon" just...

Re: Further Adventures?

Very helpful - I was just looking at both of those adventures last night and wondering if they'd be good fits to my new DF box. :) Happy to try another Monster book too ... the one from DF is quite...

Re: Dungeon Fantasy in Stores!

Speaking for this particular store: they brought in DiscWorld and Mars Attacks! on request, and moved a few more copies than mine. The owner commented the other day that he's been carrying more GURPS...

Re: Dungeon Fantasy in Stores!

Dunno but it seems plenty spacious to me. I removed all the cardboard spacers, and it easily swallowed the normal contents, GM Screen, Companion, some more d6s, and could take some more stuff.

Re: Dungeon Fantasy in Stores!

I'm pretty sure they were backers on the Kickstarter. The owner tends to be pretty informed, fortunately.

Dungeon Fantasy in Stores!

I stopped by Black Diamond Games, in Concord, CA today, and was pleased to see Dungeon Fantasy on the shelves as a new arrival. They had three copies of the boxed set, and a couple GM Screens and...

Re: Game Geekery - GURPS Content Posts

Regardless, I salute you. That's hardcore scenario planning / preparation, and I think that material would be great support for a GM. Thanks for providing.

Re: Discworld Game / Campaign experiences

So, I'm going to be running DiscWorld at the upcoming "3D6 Con" in July - a one day miniconvention, at EndGame (http://endgameoakland.com) in Oakland, CA.

I'm going to run a mashup of sorts of...

DiscWorld Character Sheet (PDF)

Howdy,

I know the DiscWorld book itself isn't in PDF or planned for such right now. I'm wondering if there's any plans to put up the DiscWorld character sheet, though (or if folks are doing any...

Re: Discworld Game / Campaign experiences

Thanks - I'll look to get a copy. I had gotten the Discworld Map (same one as printed in the Discworld RPG), but the Atlas sounds like what I really want there.

I'll look for that one as well.
