Re: Paranoia: Kickstart the Computer

If you can't see what's printed on the box, it must be above your clearance. :)

Re: Report To The Stakeholders

Remember that "making money" is not a static target, as demonstrated by ongoing inventory costs from storage and taxes to shipping. As an absurdly simplified example, suppose a Kickstarter raises...

Re: The 2015 w23 Digital Release and Speculation Thread

I could, but that would be cheating... and as Buffy teaches us, That Would Be Wrong. :)

Re: The 2015 w23 Digital Release and Speculation Thread

I certainly wouldn't wait to purchase any licensed product in general. By their nature, licenses expire, and that frequently means that the joint product stops being sold. I'm sure we can all think...

But does it have Thornton Melon doing the Triple Lindy? ;)

Re: Printing GURPS books on Lulu

One trick I've learned is that some photo-editing software can import PDFs directly. Yes, you're working with flattened pages-as-images at that point, and I wouldn't try importing multi-page PDFs...

Re: Tattoo fading...

I actually had a certain adamantium lump (who will no doubt be restored to the status quo in a few months, post-Secret Wars) in mind with that line.

Re: Tattoo fading...

I should think the nature of the "frozen" aging would play a significant role. As extreme examples, a vampire who magically returns to Moment Of Death Form every evening would exhibit no degradation,...

Re: GURPS Resources links broken

For future reference, "there's a problem with the website" reports work much better when sent to the webmaster email address. If we're busy chasing hamsters, we're not looking at the forums.

Re: Couple of suggestions for Store UI

When a PDF is updated, we send an email to those who have purchased it to let them know. That has been true in both the previous "e23" store and the current "unified" one.

Re: Items without a category

It's not tagged as Footgear, so it doesn't count as such. There is a vaguer class of "clothing" or "worn items" that depends on common sense instead of explicit tags, but otherwise, cards that target...

Re: Kickstarter card being given out?

Putting all those page title images together took a bit longer than I was hoping it would. Otherwise, I might've been able to have the lot up earlier. At least this way I got to sort things out a...

Re: Real-Life Weirdness

Oh, good. I was just thinking that I'd like to set that thing over there on fire, but I'm not close enough to do it. If only there were a way for me to throw fire onto it...

(With an apologetic...

Re: Alt History: Israel loses in 1948

Then you get cases like mine, where my political leanings and beliefs contrast starkly with those that dominate the state I was raised in. I identify with the South while frequently being ashamed of...

Re: Who won our game of Munchkin Apocalypse?

(Emphasis mine.)

Maybe I'm missing something here, but that looks like Player A fought a monster, combat ended with A defeating that monster, and leveling up took him to Level 10. Game over, A...

Re: Digital eBook reader devices...

I generally only use Writer, and I'm working with short documents (10K words, if that) which are basically straight text. For that, I can even use LO on a netbook with no problems; everything zips...

Re: Digital eBook reader devices...

I, for one, am unwilling to take that chance. Besides, I can use LibreOffice at no charge, with no subscription, for any purpose.

Re: Digital eBook reader devices...

Be wary of that Office 365 license. Last time I checked, its terms explicitly prohibit using it for commercial purposes... such as, say, writing a book or an article for which you will be paid.

Re: Chez Geek - "next income raised by..." cards

That player was incorrect. The "Shopping" example on page two of the "House Party Edition" rulesheet (http://www.sjgames.com/chezgeek/cgrules.pdf) depicts a player using a "your next income is raised...

Re: Article/Item of clothing definition?

I've thought about doing almost exactly that a few times. Sure, I'd call a sash "clothing" in this context.

Re: Holiday Boosters

When I wound up with multiple copies of the base Munchkin set, I built one deck that was just the basic set plus its boosters - no expansions. The idea was that if you were a fan on a tight budget,...

Re: Card back changes really?

I'm pretty sure the Great Lightening happened in 2005-2006, when Munchkin 4 came out. A vintage set indeed!
