Re: GURPS Middle Ages

I know I'm just a random guy on the interwebs but I would totally buy a Hot Spots: Holy Roman Empire or Charlemagne at the 7-10$ price point.

Re: Realistic Point Gains

To the OP, what, exactly are you trying to discover in this post that hasnít already been answered by the very knowledgeable posters here already? If you just want to post info on your campaign do...

When will we have an idea of how Gurps is doing?

I wasn't sure where to post this so I put it in the Gurps forum.

With the immanent Stakeholder's Report coming soon, will 2017 be a good indicator of Gurp's growth or did too much happen too late...

Re: Realistic Point Gains

Why does the idea still persist that a person playing a role playing game need some "official" stamp of approval or rules to justify what they're doing?
It's your game, do what you want. Why are you...

Re: Salt

I follow a 18th century America, reenactment group on youtube. Here is the episode on salt pork, I only post it because he's going on 18th century cook books and he really works at doing things in...

Re: how come "All Out Concentrate" / "Concentrate" limits cannot combine?

I have wondered this for a long time with these posts. I think this sort of needless complication can give the appearance that Gurps is immensely more complicated than it actually is and can have...

Re: GURPS Hermeneutics

I think another base assumption is that the GM and players are on the same "team" unless playing a specific genre (which would be discussed and agreed upon by the same players and GM). I see people...

Re: GURPS is on DriveThruRPG!

A good next step would be to join Bits and Mortar. It's too late for me as I have everything in and out of print but they're showing a commitment to Gurps for sure, there can be no doubt.

Re: Big hair as DR

While not big hair, In the movie The Duelists the director wanted to be as accurate to the time as possible so the time as possible so Harvey Kietel and Kieth Carradine wore short braids next to...

Re: Historical mideval setting

My use of the term collapse was meant in reference to the area and time period. While there isn't a lead pipe cinch theory on what happened, what is agreed upon is pretty awesome stuff for a game...

Re: Historical mideval setting

I'll just say that I like anachronistic settings as much as anyone, I was looking for (at least as far as the window dressing) gritty realism.

When a humble Lich mentioned the trojan war, it...

Re: Historical mideval setting

I'm thinking of after the Roman withdraw from Briton but before the invasion of the Normans. That is if I stick to the British Isles, The discussion of the Holy Roman Empire has me intrigued as well...

Re: Historical mideval setting

While I'm trying to put together a historical campaign (within reasonable limits) I'm really grateful for the input everyone's been sending.

Re: Historical mideval setting

Thanks, I didn't think of the HRE (probably my anglophile upbringing). That might be where I focus some research.

Historical mideval setting

I was wondering if there was (besides the various low tech books) a good source for Gurps 4e in pyramid or in some of the pdf only releases?

Thanks.

Re: High Magic Spells

There has been some people saying that the player and GM need to discuss the nature of the flying ship in the campaign. I agree, but to take it further I think the PC and GM need to get on the same...

Re: Thank you for the "banned users"-thread.

I can get nutty sometimes (ASD) and the banned users thread lets me know where the line actually is (not just by reading the forum rules) and I have an easier time trying not to cross it. Also,...

Re: What GURPS needs... now

In all seriousness I think the thing that brings many people to Gurps is a craving for a playable simulation type game. I think all the stuff from GNS theory a few years back has put a stink on...

Re: What GURPS needs... now

I was going to suggest a Munchkin supplement for Gurps but I realized one is coming out (hopefully) later this year.

Re: Ignore feature

I was hoping for something where they didn't exist on my feed at all so I could actually see constructive posts in my forum of choice.

Ignore feature

Is there an "ignore user" feature so their posts don't populate in your feed for the forums?
If there isn't could we get one please?

Re: designing shift to spirit/undead after death without GM permission

The only constructive thing I can say is maybe the table needs to stop and have a heartfelt discussion on what they as players (notice I didn't single out the GM as he's a player too) want to play...
