In fact, the reason GURPs Trav was an 'official alternate' timeline was that so many players hated the Rebellion/Virus, they were basically playing Traveller in that 'alternate' universe already.

While the TNS entries were good color background, metaplot, specifically the White Woof version, is hated by pretty much every Traveller player I know.

Give me a nice non-Virus sandbox setting,...

In SFB each point of speed is a factor of c, speed 1 is 1c, speed 12 is 12c, etc.

Warp 1 is speed 1, warp 2 is speed 8, warp 3 is speed 27.

IIRC, both GURPs and Trav round this to 10 m/s/s (as noted above) per G-factor.

Not AFAIK.

Every version of Traveller I've ever seen, the travel time formula to the jump point included turnaround/braking to set velocity to zero for the actual jump.

My players usually try to ambush the bad guys so that the fight's over in 1-2 seconds, so it rarely comes up.

Failing that, they try to arrange it so that somebody else fights the bad guys. Or...

While Azhanti High Lightning is, indeed, a great system to do boarding actions, I think Snapshot fits the bill for most players.

Plus, it has the deck plans for the scout and free trader.
