Re: Bundles...? Especially Dungeon Fantasy

Yes, right, that was the question!

...well, then hopefully the situation changes a little, maybe the temporary discounts come more often or something like that...

Indeed, I would recommend...

Bundles...? Especially Dungeon Fantasy

Hi,
are there any PDF Bundles for Dungeon Fantasy available currently? Or planned in the next time? (release dates...?) - I mean regarding new players wanting access to many (or even all) volumes...

Re: DFRPG at school

+1
Very well handled with the talking to the player and the group and finally coming up with the 0 HP issue finally. Nice to see that all the players could have a "happy end" that way :)

Moreover...

Re: DFRPG at school

One thing I did many years ago to explain an RPG game to about 20 players or so is to let them play single characters "as a group". That meant that for instance 4 players <shared> a single...

Re: [DF] Integrating bits of G4e into the DFRPG

To add on that, I would consider using long term fatigue rules, making things a little harder in general... ;)

I like these rules as they add a bit more realism, e.g. regarding the decision if...

Re: DFRPG spell range - regular spells?

Ok, thanks, after reading that page, I realized I overlooked that one sentence (even though, having played with the classic GURPS magic before, I knew that there probably 'should' be something like...

DFRPG spell range - regular spells?

Hi,
as far as I remember from earlier days with the classic GURPS spell magic there was a range penalty for regular spells, something like -1 per yard.

Is it right that this is no longer true for...

Re: Tips for a GURPS Newbie GM?

One general hint for the game rules:
The basic 3d6 roll under your value mechanics (for attributes, skills, ...) are fundamental, but also quite easy. I'm sure you'll handle that without any...

Re: Overview of professions for the players...

Thank you very much, that's great! :) I'll definitely use it for my announcement/preparation for an upcoming convention game with new players...

Re: Overview of professions for the players...

If you want to see what extensive marketing (with big budgets) gets out of just a single word like fighter or knight - not yet started with crunch - look here for example:...

Re: Overview of professions for the players...

Yes, for myself the crunchy bits are very important, too, but at the level of introduction I was talking about the idea of just giving a rough picture of the characters and the game to inspire the...

Re: Overview of professions for the players...

Yes, that one is not bad, it is a solid short solution... Probably I use it if there is nothing more detailed.
Actually I hoped for something like that with a bit more "inspiration" added to it,...

Re: Overview of professions for the players...

Thanks for your reply!

Well, yes, but IMHO that way would be unfavorable, because of two aspects:

1) If I would use D&D for getting people to play DFRPG indeed the question arises: Why aren't...

Hi,
I'm planning a new game, but none of my players owns the DFRPG, just me.

What I'm searching for is a short overview of all the available professions so that it is easier for new players to...

Yeah, terminator feeling after the end, I'd totally buy that! :)
Also it would be a great contrast to DF, especially attractive for people preferring a modern setting and/or searching for something...

Re: The Dungeon Fantasy box set is great! But now I hunger for more...

With respect to the currently available material, I would choose Monster Hunters as next box, After-the-End would be also great, though.

Otherwise I would love to see a 4e re-make of the 3e...

Re: Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet

I'd say you read it really precisely. Though mostly it should be a non-critical detail, no real game-breaker... ;)
My interpretation would also be that for non-major-wounds to the head or vitals,...

Re: Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game Discussion Thread

I'm talking about the options for players not having (not knowing) the Basic Set. You're right, of course, that it's really no problem to expand that on your own with the other books. My point was...

Re: Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game Discussion Thread

Does anyone know if all, most or at least some of the classic GURPS Disadvantages from the Basic Set will be included in the DF Game?

Without the Basic Set could I play something like a Barbarian...
