One could build a suitably limited modular ability for about 5 points, that would let you switch the active perk to the right spell, so having a 5-10 point advantage allowing you to ignore your own...

Indeed, 6d is 3d+10, and a starting knight with weapon master can do that, possibly multiple times per turn (rapid strike, if you consider that ST 15+Striking ST2+Weapon Master doesn't leave enough...

IIRC there's a perk called "No Visible Damage" that basically does this. You still get hurt, but it doesn't show (GURPS Power-Ups 2: Perks, p. 11). It requires Unkillable of course.
