Agreed, plotting a jump-arrival point for a fleet of warships intent on mischief could be as simple as "Pick a point a long way out, wait for everyone to arrive, form up and burn in."

Does an extra hour seem like enough time for the plotting? It seems to me that the fleet would need to be positioned correctly as well, so I am including that in my very arbitrary #.

Just so I am clear, a fleet could "take extra time plotting" and reduce the spread of 168 hours +/- 16.8 hours by 90%. So all of the ships would exit J-space in 168 +/- 1.68 hours?

It may take a little work, but I took the basic Spaceship's system and modified it to fit my game table. Instead of 3 sections with 6 slots, plus two core for a total of 20, I went with 6 sections...

Couldn't this scenario just be a Hard technique, say defaulting from base skill at -7 (or whatever the penalty for targeting the trigger is)? Then, your skill 25 player with gunslinger could buy it...
