One of my players is bemoaning her lack of importance in ISAR. She is, obviously, a halfling scout. I looked her character over and realised she had made some mistakes, but I want to make sure I...

New to DFRPG

I have GURPS and played it a long time, but have drifted away from the RPG world, but picked up DFRPG and wandered over to Warehouse 23 and saw a metric tonne of supplements, all predating the boxed...

Re: Report To The Stakeholders

My FLGS has 2 rows of GURPS books, some are 4th Ed, and some are 3rd Ed. The store does not push any RPG games, but they have a Pathfinder game on their schedule, run by someone willing to expend...

Re: Best Card Game...Ever?

I am really enjoying Munchkin Cthulhu these days too, it is probably the most played card game at my game nights now.

Games I would introduce?
Werewolf, nothing needed but a deck of cards and it is interactive and fast.
Ingenious, easy to teach and easy to play

Re: Spy Alley

I saw it in a seasonal christmas place last week called Calendar Club (http://www.calendarclub.com/) so it should be still available.

Re: Optimal size for a game board

22x34 is very good, this is the size of D Size paper and is pretty standard for many games

Re: Best Card Game...Ever?

One more time, in the last two years I have played Frank's Zoo the most of any of my card games, followed by Werewolf (which is only vaguely a card game, more of a party game that uses cards),...

Re: Descent Opinions?

I was out gaming with some friends from the UK that were huge AHQ fiends and they purchased Descent and love it as well.

If you like this style of game and don't have the others, you will enjoy...

Re: Descent Opinions?

I played it once, and I have played a lot of Advanced HeroQuest (which I loved). I found the two games very similar with a little more luck in AHQ. If you like miniature based fantasy games, you...

Re: Report To The Stakeholders

Two comments on these ideas for a SJG board game.

1) Please, not a roll and move (Talisman, Monopoly etc). It will not sell except to SJG faithful (well except me). Instead they should go more...

Re: Is a Pyramid subscription worth the moola?

I subscribe too, I dropped my sub when I stop running but renewed about 2 years ago. There is a good back library of ideas for scenarios and the Adventure Pizzas are enjoyable.

For 20 bucks (USD)...

Re: Overpriced game stupidity...

I just read your Pyramid article about your store closing and I can understand your feelings.

Re: Best Card Game...Ever?

I agree on Nuclear War by Flying Buffalo, although I have seen games end in 15 minutes :)

I also like San Juan by Rio Grande Games, it rocks with 3 or 4 players, but my wife hates playing 2 player...

Re: What happend to Gurps 4e ?

I feel your pain, I run varying campaigns, my last was fantasy/ravenloft ending in freeport.

Now I am looking, writing a short series, at a 1920's Cliffhangers/Black Ops game so I am sticking...
