Re: Child PCs and NPCs

I've included children in my games, in the past, and sometimes they'll even serve as significant plot elements.

Re: Parrying "Low Kicks" With Judo (Martial Arts)

I know this is a "rules question" and not a "real world" question, but maybe a "real world" answer can help with the rule?

I took Judo, briefly, and it's a "soft" art that focuses on using an...

With that in mind, the group visited a lumber firm and negotiated the beginnings of an agreement to haul some living trees from a forest about 800 miles away. The price was high,...

Re: Campaign: Facets

At that point, Frank began to speculate how best to engage the GNAC forces, only to have Jonckers and the others clarify matters. The GNHC had no desire to ever conduct any sort of...

Re: Campaign: Facets

We had a short session of Facets, a bit more than three weeks ago. It started on a Sunday morning, and I expected it to wind up in a fight, but we had a bunch of people missing, and others needed to...

Re: [AtE] Academia, and it's potential legacies

Some of the Agricultural & Mechanical colleges in the United States also act as seed banks. One of the largest is right here in Colorado, up in Fort Collins, at Colorado State University (CSU).

Re: New Reality Seeds

Any such Louisiana Republic would have to be highly militarized. Its very presence destabilizes every U.S. state in which plantations with slaves play a significant economic role.

Escaped slaves...

Re: New Sci Fi Setting Seeds

Oh, those were observations and not complaints. If what you want is excitement, 1898 is a good choice. The Indians were mostly all gone, but the gold and silver mining towns remained lawless and...

Those people are usually called "idealists" or "reformers" by those who appreciate their efforts, and "troublemakers" by those who don't.

A "revolutionary" is usually willing to operate outside...
